Put Down Your Cell Phone

Do you know about the recent Ontario legislation about no cell phones while driving?

Drivers must pull over if they want to talk on a cell phone. Drivers can talk on a phone while driving if they use hand-free devices such as a cell phone with a head set or speaker phone. Basically, you must be able to keep both hands on the wheel. Those caught using their cell phone while driving may be fined and possibly lose demerit points off their license. When fully licensed drivers get fifteen demerit points, their driver's license is suspended. Not all the provinces in Canada have this law at this time.

I personally think using cellphones while driving is as dangerous as drinking and driving because it reduces reflection rate of the drivers and it affects their decision making ability.

I knew that drivers talk on cell phone may result sever traffic accidents before. However, I didn't know it could makes more air pollution and gas using. For those reasons, people shouldn't use cell phone when they are driving. I agree with the government to approve the rule to stop it.

Using cell phones in driving must be prohibited. I have already learned about that it makes often traffic accident , but I did not know that using a cell phone affects on environment or gas consumption. To protect our nature and save energy, the regulation should be enforced.

I disagree with talking on cell phones while driving. I think that it may reduce the drivers' concentration and increases the number of the motor vehicle accidents. But using handsfree could be a better choice in times of emergency.

I don't know how people talk on the cell phone and drive too. I can't do it. I tend to agree with those who said hand free devices aren't safe either.

Have you ever read anything that supports cell phones and driving?

According to me government should have to make stick rule and regulations to stop using cell phones during driving.Because people pay their concentration on the phone only, most of the time they didn't check their left side ,right side and behinde. They always take turn frequently. If they have to attend any urgent call they have to park their car. Most of the accidents are happen due to cell phones. At last, i would like to say the government should have to baned on both cell phones and head phones.
